To clear our heads, to get a bit fitter, to prove we can finish what we started. This November, Light of Life Trust is asking you to point that effort somewhere else.

I Run, They Learn happens on 27, 28 and 29 November 2026. The idea is simple. You run, and your run goes towards helping children stay in school and keep learning.

Getting to school is only half the story

Enrolling a child is one thing. Keeping them in class year after year is another, and for children growing up in difficult circumstances it often depends on whether someone is backing them. A bit of support, some consistency, a fair chance.

When that support is there, a child holds on to more than a school bag. They hold on to the confidence to make their own choices about what happens next.

Choose how you want to run

There are two ways to take part, so where you live does not decide whether you can join.

If you are in Pune, you can run in person with other participants. Community runs have a particular energy, and it is a good feeling to be on the road with people who are all there for the same reason.

If you are anywhere else in the world, you can join the virtual run. Do it in your own neighbourhood, on your own time, in your own way. You are still part of the same campaign and the same cause.

You do not need to be a serious runner

Maybe you have been running for years. Maybe you jog on weekends when the weather cooperates. Maybe you have only just started thinking about it. All of that works here.

Running is usually a private thing between you and your own goals. This is a chance to let it count for someone else as well.

Think of the child behind the uniform

Every child in a school uniform has a plan, even if they have not said it out loud. Some want to be doctors. Some want to teach. Some want to play for a living, and some have not decided yet, which is perfectly fine at that age.

What they all need is the chance to stay in school long enough to find out. That is what Light of Life Trust is working towards, and this run is one way for the rest of us to help.

How to join in

Put 27, 28 and 29 November 2026 in your calendar. Pick the in-person run in Pune or the virtual run from wherever you are. Then tell your friends, your family and the people you work with, because a run is more fun when you drag someone along.

Register here: https://cyruns.in/lolt/

The finish line is not really the point. What matters is what each step makes possible.

I Run, They Learn.
