Empowerement Ride in Mumbai Maharashtra

On March 8, 2025, Light of Life Trust (LOLT) and Kalyaan Trust, with the voluntary support of Let’s Ride for Meaningful Causes (LRMC), organized a unique event to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event honored 25 women and 15 male riders for their contributions and commitment to social causes.

The dynamic group of riders embarked on their journey from Navi Mumbai after a ceremonious flag-off at 7:30 AM, covering a distance of 120 km to Karjat in approximately 90 minutes. But this ride was more than just a journey—it was a powerful initiative to raise awareness about critical issues.

Our founder, Mrs. Villy Doctor, welcomed them and shared insights into the trust’s extensive work in rural India. Several beneficiaries of LOLT also shared their inspiring success stories and showcased their talents, adding to the spirit of celebration. Each of the Riders were individually acknowledged and presented with a GOODIE BAG made and assembled by our beneficiaries.

The riders expressed their admiration for the impactful work being done and pledged their support to the cause of women’s empowerment. They also planted a few trees to support the environment and promised to come back periodically.
